Pulmonology is a medical specialty that focuses on the health of the respiratory system. The respiratory system includes the lungs, airways, and respiratory muscles, all of which are essential for breathing.

Pulmonologists are doctors who diagnose and treat diseases and conditions of the respiratory system. Common conditions they manage include:
